The Druid’s Deep

General Comments

It’s very ironic how the only thing keeping Druid’s Deep out of F-Tier is something which has very little to do with the pack itself. The pack fails on nearly every level, and were it not for a factor which is entirely extrinsic to the pack itself, I would never recommend buying it, and even now, I’m hesitant to recommend this pack to anyone who doesn’t strictly play in the epic levels.

Experience: 1/5

As I stated in my Necro 2 review, it’s kind of sad how one quest at level 9 gives more experience than the entirety of this chain, which is level 17. It’s clear that Turbine spent no forethought or consideration into making these quests rewarding because in terms of both epic and heroic experience, none of them are worth running.

Well, I guess they are part of a few sagas, so there’s that. But why bother with sagas when the big three epic experience quests exist?

Loot: 3/5

Wall of Wood is a decent shield for healers, but that’s all I’ve got here. Nothing else here ever stood out to me.

But strangely enough, the one thing which actually salvages this pack is that it can be used as the quickest way in the game to farm for some quest items which are from a completely different adventure pack (technically expansion pack). Completing the entire chain on any difficulty (even casual) grants you your choice of 3 commendations, including Cleric commendations, Druid commendations, Wizard commendations, Villager commendations, and Purple Dragon Knight commendations. There’s a lot of great level 20 loot you can get here, and this pack is the fastest and most efficient way to obtain them. And this is the only reason why this pack is anywhere higher than F-Tier.

Fun Factor: 1/5

All of the quests here are hack and slash slug fests.

Popularity: 2/5

Sometimes I see LFMs up for this, but it’s uncommon.

Pricing: 2/5

550 TP is really pricey for only four quests. Reaver’s Reach, by comparison, is 250 TP for four quests and four wilderness areas, while Phiarlan Carnival is 450 TP for four quests, and they can all be run on epic as well. They’re also all much longer than these quests. There’s no reason why this pack should cost so much when it offers so little.

Overall: Lower D-Tier.

The only redeeming factor about this pack is the fact that it’s the fastest way to farm Commendation item. If you don’t want these items, however, this pack will serve no purpose to you.
